Saturday 17th August - walk **** – The Dip to Felixstowe Ferry – sunny and hot.

With Robert, Hannah and Arlo coming later today we decided to get up early driving down to The Dip arriving at 6 for a walk to Felixstowe Ferry just as the sun appeared above a bank of clouds, just lovely:) It was nice and quiet as we ambled along, always great to be out early, just a few dog walkers and a family barbaqueing bacon on the sea wall! At the Ferry we made a small detour to the yellow wreck boat before heading through the boat yard and back along the coast path, waiting for an old yacht to pass and back to the van and home for breakfast. I had time to do my exercises in the hot back garden as Mag continues to rework our garden. Robert was lucky enough to get a ticket for Ipswich Towns first match in the premership for several years against Liverpool – sadly they lost 0 -2 but they had a particularly good first half, fingers crossed they can stay up! Hannah and Arlo arrived just in time for lunch, we then did some cooking with Arlo which included lots of fun with balloons :) Rob came home on the train and we enjoyed a complete family dinner as Dan, Jay and Maeva came, its always lovely to see both our Grandchildren together!
